Transfers

Our Inbound and Outbound transfer fee is $20 plus the FDLE NICS fee of $5. Each additional firearm transferred at the same time to the same transferee is an additional $5. For example: 3 firearms purchased by John Doe through Gunbroker.com would be $20 for the first firearm, $5 for the NICS, and 2X $5 for the additional firearms for a total of $35.

Alachua County has a 5 day waiting period for all firearms. The waiting period does not include the day of purchase or the day of receipt, weekends or holidays. If you purchase a firearm on Friday the earliest it can be picked up is the following Saturday. Active duty Law Enforcement and holders of a Florida Concealed Weapon license are exempt from the waiting period.

To ship a firearm that you sold to a transferring FFL dealer, the fee is $20 plus the actual freight cost plus packaging materials if none are provided. There is no packaging charge for free boxes provided by the carrier. We accept shipments for persons using Shipmygun.com or we will check the rates between USPS, UPS, FedEX and offer you the best rate at our actual cost.

A seller of a long gun may ship that gun to an FFL dealer directly using USPS, FedEx or UPS. Subject to the terms of the shipper. UPS & FedEx require that you ship it from the hub. Convenience locations like the UPS Store will not accept firearms. Handguns from a Non-FFL can only ship by UPS or FedEx. Only FFL dealers may ship handguns by US Mail.
